Shooting a Live Music Event - Pre Production (Location Scouting)

Awe and welcome back to the vlog!

After a full day of work I’m heading to a friend’s place to scout the location for an upcoming live music event that I’m filming. Akeeda Keet and Andre Williams have been producing some incredible music of the last couple of years, with their live gigs being exceptionally powerful. There an is intimate, warm and almost raw feel to the sound and the live performance which draws you in and make you feel a part of the experience.

The live gig is very much following in this style, with only a few close friends being invited to an intimate, live acoustic set. Akeeda had asked me to film it and, hopefully, going to be generating some social media content from the footage, as well as a full length live music documentary (fingers crossed).

My good friend, Kiroshan Naidoo (actor and filmmaker) is also on board to help me film the event, so I’m very music looking forward to working with him on our first film project. My brother, Ryan Swart will be photographing the event and behind the scenes.
