Cape Town Ballroom | Documentary Behind the Scenes

We're neck-deep in filming my feature documentary about the amazing trans and queer scene in South Africa, and today's adventure takes us to a fierce Cape Town ball, hosted by Edition Events and the House of Le Cap.

This vlog is all about the behind-the-scenes chaos (and glam!) of capturing the energy, the fashion, and vibes of the Cape Town ballroom scene. ✨ You'll see what it takes to film this incredible community and get a sneak peek at the performances you can expect in the final documentary!

In this vlog:

  • Setting up at the event

  • Making costume for our outfits

  • Meeting the incredible film crew

  • Capturing the amazing costumes and runway looks

  • Feeling the vibes with the audience

  • Plus, a Q&A with some of the members of the House of Le Cap
